A movement for men's mental health · Born in Liverpool

Keep going.
You matter
more than you know.

Your Light Matters is here for the men carrying things in silence — and for everyone who loves them. We're building a kinder, louder conversation around men's mental health, one light at a time.

"This project exists because I came close to becoming one of those numbers myself."

What we do

A movement, not just a memorial.

Three connected programs — designed to make the invisible visible, keep the conversation going, and put real money behind real support.

01

Public installations

The Field of 4,300 Lights — a walk-through memorial of warm light, one for every man lost to suicide in England last year. Stanley Park, Liverpool, March 13–15. Free entry.

02

Awareness campaigns

Billboards, social campaigns, and partner content that break the silence around men's mental health and signpost the support that's already out there.

03

Funding for frontline work

Every campaign raises money for the charities already doing the work — starting with Andy's Man Club and a growing network of men's mental health organisations.

The numbers we refuse to accept.

Why we exist

One man's worst day became the spark for thousands of conversations.

In October 2024, Joe — a 34-year-old dad of two from Liverpool — survived a suicide attempt. From a hospital bed, he started sketching what would become Your Light Matters. Not another awareness campaign. Something you could see, walk through, feel.

"It showed me how easily pain hides behind competence, humour, and strength — and how dangerous silence can become when men feel they must carry everything alone."

Today Joe is in a different place — and he's using everything he learned to make sure other men get there too. Your Light Matters is the work of someone who's been at the edge and come back. That's why people listen.
